Keep Scrollin'

It's been a while since I blogged so keep scrollin' and see what's happenin'

The Pond!

It's been bitter cold and around here that's a fabulous thing. Why you ask? The POND!! It's frozen and nothing brings a warmer feeling than to glide around the ice at supersonic speed, the sound of hockey sticks scratching the surface and scent of hot cocoa brewing from the sidelines!!We invited the youth group over for a little broom hockey and the kids were so excited they could barely contain themselves. We I got out I saw Bre recruited Niki and Eric for several hundred loops around the rink.Trey was busy skating on his own. He finally got the hang of it and was zipping around (slowly) but confidently. We may just have a hockey player on our hands!!

Getting ready for a game. We play the amish way...brooms, sticks, skates, boots...whatever! It's all legal here!

Niki as goalie!

Holly and Lexi posin' pretty!

We built a campfire to warm up!

It was a good time although my toes are still tingling!

Locks of Love

Well the day has finally come....after 3 years of patiently waiting for my hair to grow out the day finally arrived. When Bre found out I was cutting my hair she begged to get hers cut as well so I agreed since it was for a good cause. But then my sister in law started chomping away and my heart skipped a beat and panic set in. What was I thinking look at all those beautiful curls!! Oh, my baby's beautiful hair!!Some things you just got to get over. The deed is done....no turning back now! It will grow back right?
Still cute! This mug on the other hand needs some help!!! Was I in mid sentence? or what? Aw, don't even ask, it's pointless!14" from me and 10" from Bre!! I hope it makes a brighter day for a little girl!

New Year Round Up

Well this year we volunteered...yep volunteered (next year you may have to pay me) to stay up all night for the youth group lock in!! I need coffee just thinking about it again! Can you guess what the theme of the party was? Our kids stayed till 11pm and they were thrilled to dress up (those pink boots didn't come off for about 1 week after the party)Arlan broke out his western rope and rekindled his love of the Wyoming branding season. In his mind he was in the round pen searching out that brown hide when in reality it was the rowdy kids he caught! Doesn't matter, they needed a little "wrestling".
Then we let the crew give their best try out on our ropin' dummies. Vicious bulls aren't they

And (boy the girls are going to love me for this one) what would a new years eve party be without a little karaoke? Not nearly as amusing I can tell you that much!
